Junie’s Place At Friendship Park

Dear Chelmsford community and friends,

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible support and generosity in helping us exceed our fundraising goals for Junie’s Place at Friendship Park. In just under 10 months, thanks to contributions from so many of you, we have exceeded our goal and raised an astounding $153,920.06. This outpouring of support has allowed us to create custom pieces that will truly honor Junie’s spirit.

For instance, the additional funds have given us the ability to work with Tiny Tile Mosaics and create personalized benches, which will be a community-led effort. People can sign up to help create parts of the mosaics around Junie’s birthday. We will provide more details on this as we get closer to the date. The town is currently in the process of ordering the equipment for Junie’s Place, with hopes for installation and a grand opening in late spring or summer.

Please see the below link for tonight’s Select Board Meeting (begins at 1:00:29). I will share more information as plans progress. I want to sincerely thank the Chelmsford community, our friends and family near and far, for making this dream a reality. Without all of your incredible support, generosity and belief in this project, we could not have done this. Junie always wanted help a friend in need, and your contributions help do this and keep her memory and spirit alive.

I am filled with immense gratitude. Please know that this inclusive playground will be a lasting place for community, joy and friendship for years to come. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

With a full heart,
Kristen Dillon
